Former Demon Deacons play key roles in pivotal matchups with playoff implications to highlight this edition of Pro Deacs.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Pro Deacs made its return during Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season, highlighted by offensive lineman Zach Tom and the Green Bay Packers picking up a crucial win in the NFC North race, defensive lineman Kobie Turner and the Los Angeles Rams earning a blowout win, and a matchup between former Wake Forest standouts in Atlanta.
Tom Helps Packers Take Control of NFC North
Zach Tom and the Green Bay Packers picked up a pivotal victory Sunday afternoon as they defeated the Chicago Bears to take control of the NFC North. Tom helped the Packers put up 337 yards of total offense, including 220 passing yards. Additionally, Tom earned a 77.3 offensive grade by Pro Football Focus, as well as a team-best 86.5 run block grade.
Turner Shines in Blowout Win
Defensive lineman Kobie Turner recorded another impressive showing for the Los Angeles Rams, helping the Rams maintain their position atop the NFC standings with a blowout win over the Arizona Cardinals. Turner, who was named a team captain for the second season in a row earlier this year, recorded a sack for his only tackle of the game. Turner has now recorded 4.5 sacks this season and 21.5 over his three-year career in the NFL.
Walker and Bates Battle in Atlanta
Week 14 of the NFL season featured another matchup between former Wake Forest standouts as running back Kenneth Walker III and the Seattle Seahawks went on the road to take on safety Jessie Bates III and the Atlanta Falcons. Ultimately, Walker and the Seahawks secured the 37-9 win over Bates and the Falcons to keep pace in the hunt for the NFC West title. Overall, Walker finished the afternoon with 29 rushing yards across 10 carries. Meanwhile, Bates recorded a pair of solo tackles with one tackle for loss.
Strnad, Broncos Near AFC West Crown
Linebacker Justin Strnad continued his stellar season on Sunday afternoon as he and the Denver Broncos picked up a road win over the Las Vegas Raiders in an AFC West showdown. Strnad totaled a pair of solo tackles to help move the Broncos to 11-2 on the year and one step closer to their first AFC West title since 2015. Overall, Strnad has totaled 50 tackles with 20 solo tackles and a career-high 3.5 sacks.
