FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. -- Wake Forest men's tennis closed out its 2015 fall slate on Friday in the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Skander Mansouri, who earned a spot in the draw after winning the ITA Carolina Regional singles title in October, dropped a 6-2, 6-2 match to third-seeded Dominik Koepfer of Tulane to end his successful fall season. Koepfer is ranked No. 10 in the preseason ITA rankings.
In doubles, Romain Bogaerts and Maksim Kan dropped a tough match to Georgia's Austin Smith and Ben Wagland 7-5, 7-5. Smith and Wagland are ranked No. 1 in the preseason ITA rankings.
The Demon Deacons will now look to its 2016 spring season, which is set to start on Jan. 16 against North Florida and East Tennessee State. Both matches will be played at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.
