Deacons Head South to Florida State, Miami
• After playing a pair of home matches last week, Wake Forest will go on the road for the final time this season, playing 20th-ranked Florida State on Friday before taking on Miami on Sunday afternoon.
• Friday's match will begin at 7 p.m. and Sunday's match will start at 1 p.m.
Last Time Out
• The Demon Deacons split a pair of home matches last weekend, rallying to defeat Boston College, 3-2, Friday night before falling in straight sets to Syracuse on Sunday afternoon.
• The Deacs are now 5-1 in five-set matches this season.
• Matalee Reed led Wake Forest with 18 kills and added nine digs against the Eagles and paced the team with 11 kills on a .280 hitting percentage against the Orange. Kylie Long combined for 22 kills on the week, while Caroline Wolf notched 32 digs.
Wolf Hits Milestone
• Sophomore Caroline Wolf became the 11th Demon Deacon with 1,000-career digs last week. She now has 1,030.
• The Naperville, Ill. native leads the ACC with 507 digs on the year.
• Wolf was named the ACC Co-Player of the Week on Oct. 19 after racking up a career-best 42 digs at Notre Dame. That total was the second-most in a four-set match in ACC volleyball history, as well as the most in the NCAA in a four-set match in 2015.
Among the ACC's Best
• Going into the week, Hanna Lee and Matalee Reed are fourth and sixth in the ACC, respectively, in aces with marks of 0.29 and 0.34 per set.
• Kylie Long is fourth in the league in kills with 381. Her 3.59 kills-per-set mark slots her eighth.
Scouting Florida State
• No. 20 Florida State goes into Friday with a 20-7 record on the season and a third-place record of 13-3 in ACC play. The Seminoles are coming off a 3-0 victory against Notre Dame and a five-set loss to Louisville.
• FSU's Nicole Walch is fifth in the league with 3.78 kills per set. Sarah Burrington at 1.39 and Melanie Keil at 1.34 are third and fifth in the ACC in blocks per set, respectively.
Scouting Miami
• Miami, which plays host to Duke on Friday night, enters the week at 18-8 with an 11-5 league record. The Hurricanes are coming off a 3-1 loss to No. 17 Louisville and a sweep of Notre Dame last week.
• The Canes are led by Alexis Mourning and her .318 hitting percentage, the eighth-best mark in the conference. Taylor Scott's 3.31 kills per set are 10th in the league, while Olga Strantzali has an ACC-best 42 aces.
Next on the Docket
• Wake Forest finishes the year with home tilts against No. 22 North Carolina on Nov. 25 and NC State on Nov 28. Both matches start at 1 p.m.
