Janvion, Williams Earn Academic All-District Honors

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest safety Ryan Janvion and outside linebacker Hunter Williams have each been named to the CoSIDA Academic-All-District III team. The voting was conducted by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Janvion, a 5-11, 190-pound junior from Pembroke Pines, Fla. (Dade Christian) has started eight of nine games this season and is fifth on the team with 44 tackles. He was an Academic All-District selection in 2014 and been a member of the ACC All-Academic team in each of the past two seasons. He is majoring in business and enterprise management.

Williams, a 6-0, 220-pound senior from Wake Forest, N.C. (Wake Forest-Rolesville), is fourth on the club with 47 tackles. Williams is second on the team with six tackles for loss and third with two sacks. He has started all nine games this season and 29 of his last 30 contests. A finance major, Williams was an All-District selection as well as a member of the ACC All-Academic team in 2014.

As members of the Academic All-District III team, both Janvion and Williams will advance to the Academic All-America ballot. The Academic All-America team will be announced on Dec. 3.
