DEACS CONTINUE HOMESTAND BY HOSTING COASTAL
• Wake Forest continues its four-game homestand by hosting two-time reigning Big South champion Coastal Carolina
• A win would extend the Deacs' winning streak to five games, their longest in three seasons
• The Deacons have won eight straight against Big South schools
SERIES HISTORY
• Wake Forest is 2-1 all-time against Coastal Carolina, with all three previous meetings coming in Winston-Salem
• The teams haven't met in 17 seasons with the Deacs downing the Chanticleers 73-46 in the last meeting on Dec. 16, 1998 at the LJVM Coliseum
• The teams played twice in the 1980s, with Coastal winning 106-104 in overtime in 1987-88 and Wake winning 80-55 in 1986-87
LAST TIME OUT
• The Deacons returned from an 11-day exam break to down UNCG 81-71 on Tuesday night at the Coliseum
• Dinos Mitoglou led Wake with 22 points, making 4-6 from 3-point range and all eight attempts from the line
• Devin Thomas had his sixth double-double of the year (18 pts, 10 rebs)
DOUBLE FIGURE DEACS
• Wake Forest has five players averaging double figure scoring, led by Devin Thomas (18.6 ppg), who has scored at least 12 points in every game this season, including five 20-point games
• Eight different Deacons have already had a double-figure scoring game
• Against Vanderbilt, John Collins (14 pts) and Trent VanHorn (12 pts) both had career-high performances off the bench, the first time since an 88-84 win over NC State on Feb. 4, 2015 that Wake has had a pair of double-figure performances from reserves
• Wake has eight double-figure scoring performances off the bench this season, compared to just four through nine games last year
UP NEXT
• The Deacons host No. 10 Xavier Tuesday in the Skip Prosser Classic
• The home team has won each of the first four meetings in the classic
• The Musketeers will be the first ranked non-conference team to visit Winston-Salem since the Deacs downed No. 14 Texas 89-88 in 2004-05 and the first top-10 non-conference foe since Wake upset No. 3 Kansas 84-53 in 2000-01
