
Kinal Receives All-America Nod from Phil Steele

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest punter Alexander Kinal today was named to Phil Steele's Postseason All-America team. Kinal was the punter on the fourth team.
The 6-4, 205-pound native of Adelaide, South Australia, averaged 43.8 yards per punt in 2015 and led the nation with 32 punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line. During his career, Kinal set the NCAA records with 337 punts for 14,102 yards. He also registered 110 career punts inside the opponent's 20 and 56 punts of 50 yards or longer. He had only nine touchbacks during his career.
Additionally, Phil Steele placed Kinal and Wake Forest senior linebacker Brandon Chubb on his All-ACC first team, and junior cornerback Brad Watson on the third team.
Chubb led Wake Forest with 107 tackles in 2015 and finished 10th in school history with 326 stops. Watson tied for second on the team with 72 tackles and led the Deacons with two interceptions and 16 pass break-ups.
