MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Junior Milan Quinn and sophomore Amber Campbell both broke their career highs in scoring to lead Wake Forest to a 81-53 win over Coastal Carolina at the CresCom Bank Carolina's Challenge in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Milan Quinn posted her fourth double-double of the season with 22 points and 14 rebounds. The 22 points set a new a career high while the 14 rebounds tied her career high. She also had a career-high five steals and tied her career high with four blocks.

Campbell scored a career-high 23 points to go with four steals and four rebounds.

With the win Wake Forest improved to 7-3 on the season. Coastal Carolina dropped to 4-6 for the year.

Wake Forest stormed out to a 14-2 lead through the first five minutes of the game. Of the first 14 Demon Deacon points, 10 were scored in the paint as Wake Forest established control down low early. The extra attention in the paint opened up Ariel Stephenson for a 3-pointer with 2:20 to play in the opening quarter that pushed Wake Forest's lead to 23-6. The Deacs led Coastal Carolina 27-11 at the end of the first quarter.

Quinn converted her third 3-point play of the game with 6:27 on the clock in the second quarter. The made free throw extended Wake Forest's lead to 34-12 and the Deacons held the 20-point advantage for the remainder of the half. The Deacs took a 45-20 lead in to the break.

The Demon Deacons maintained the 20-point lead for the entire second half en route to the 81-52 victory.

Wake Forest had a 46-37 rebounding advantage in the game. All nine players for Wake Forest scored in the contest.

Ataijah Taylor finished with seven assists and Stephenson scored nine points.

Wake Forest returns home to host Richmond on Sunday. Tip-off at LJVM Coliseum is set for 2 p.m.
