Wake Forest Caps 2015 Season
• Wake Forest finished the 2015 season with a 12-20 record, going 8-4 in non-conference play and 4-16 in the ACC.
• The Demon Deacons racked up eight wins in the month of September, winning the Elon Phoenix Classic and sharing the High Point Invitational title with Marshall and the Deacon Classic title with VCU.
• Eight of the Deacons' losses came against teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament.
Milestone Tracker
• Sophomore Caroline Wolf moved up to seventh on Wake Forest's all-time digs list with 1,074. Her 551 digs on the season broke the program record of 550 by Megan Thornberry in 2008.
• Kylie Long became the seventh Deacon to post a 400-plus-kill season with 423. She had the ninth-most kills in one year in program history.
Adding Accolades
• Matalee Reed began the season with a strong first tournament, earning All-Rambler Challenge honors. The next week, Katie Moore was named the MVP of the Elon Phoenix Classic and Caroline Wolf and Hanna Lee were all-tournament honorees. After that, Kylie Long and Sam Boesch were selected to the Panther Invitational All-Tournament team and Wolf and Reed capped the non-conference season with Deacon Classic All-Tournament Team nods.
• Wolf was named the ACC Co-Player of the Week on Oct. 19 after racking up a career-best 42 digs at Notre Dame. That total was the second-most in a four-set match in ACC volleyball history, as well as the most in the NCAA in a four-set match in 2015.
Among the ACC's Best
• Hanna Lee and Matalee Reed were second and tied for sixth in the ACC in aces with 39 and 33, respectively. Lee's ace total was the 14th-best in program history.
• Kylie Long ended the year fifth in the league in kills with 423. Her 3.53 kills-per-set mark slotted her eighth.
• Caroline Wolf's 551 digs were third in the league in regular-season play, as was her digs-per-set mark of 4.67.
Double-Doubles
• Four different Demon Deacons combined to register 17 double-doubles in 2015: Kylie Long, Sophia Dodd, Sam Boesch and Rachel Burau.
• Long led the team with eight, while Dodd had seven. Boesch and Burau had one apiece.
Thank You, Seniors
• The Deacs honored their four seniors, Matalee Reed, Sam Boesch, Megan Miller and Anna Carley, prior to their final game of the season on Nov. 28 against NC State.
• The foursome combined for 1,344 kills, 2,143 digs and 334 blocks in 400 matches played.
• Miller's 1,204 digs were the fourth-most in program history.
• Reed's 240 total blocks were 14th in school history. She also finished 16th in career kills with 863.
