WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - No. 18-ranked Wake Forest earned a pair of victories on Sunday, defeating No. 20 Tennessee 5-2 and Gardner-Webb 9-0.
The first win of the day snapped a 12-match skid to the Volunteers. The Demon Deacons' (6-2) only other win in the series came in the first-ever meeting between the programs in 1975.
Wake Forest has now defeated two straight top-25 opponents after also topping No. 23 South Carolina on Friday. The Deacons beat No. 22 Clemson earlier in the year, as well.
Christian Seraphim and Skander Mansouri each posted perfect 4-0 records in the doubleheader sweep.

Stepping in at No. 6 singles, Keivon Tabrizi cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Andrew Dromsky to make the score 2-0.
Tennessee cut it to 2-1 with a win at No. 3, but Skander Mansouri finished off a 6-3, 6-4 victory over regionally-ranked Luis Valero to push the advantage to 3-1.
In the pivotal point of the day, Christian Seraphim rebounded after dropping the opening set, claiming each of the next two sets to clinch the match over Tennessee by beating Jess Jones, 2-6, 6-1, 61 at No. 5.
No. 12-ranked Romain Bogaerts added a victory at No. 2 singles, topping regionally-ranked Hunter Reese 6-0, 3-6, 6-4.
