#12 Wake Forest to Battle #38 NC State >>
Continuing its four-match roadtrip, Wake Forest will take on No. 38 NC State at the Isenhour Tennis Center in Raleigh on Saturday afternoon.
In the last 10 matchups with the Wolfpack, the Demon Deacons have posted an 8-2 record. The two sides have split the last four meetings, each winning on the opponent's home courts. Last time the home team won in the series was on March 24, 2010, when Wake Forest earned a 5-2 win in Winston-Salem.
Last Time Out >>
The Demon Deacons are coming off a 4-3 loss to No. 6 Duke last Sunday. Though the Deacs jumped out to a 2-0 lead, the Blue Devils reeled off four victories in a row to clinch the win.
After winning the doubles point thanks to 8-3 victories by Skander Mansouri and Christian Seraphim at No. 1 and Keivon Tabrizi and Romain Bogaerts at No. 3, Seraphim took the momentum and earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles to put the Deacs up 2-0.
Duke rallied back, though, to earn straight-set victories at No. 6 and 4. Those victories were followed by three-set contests at No. 3 and No. 1 to clinch the win.
Though the team winner was already determined, Bogaerts won the final singles match of the day with a 6-3, 3-6, 5-4 (5) win over Jason Tahir.

Two Deacs moved up in the ITA national rankings on Tuesday. Bogaerts jumped four spots in the poll to No. 8 while Noah Rubin rode his victory over Louisville's Sebastian Stiefelmeyer, who was then the top-ranked player in the country, to No. 27 in the country. In the previous release of the rankings, Rubin was 63rd in the nation.
Wake Forest is currently tied for fifth in the ACC standings. The Demon Deacons, Louisville, Florida State and Georgia Tech each own a 3-2 mark in conference play.
Prior to falling to Duke, Wake was on a five-match winning streak and beat four top-30 opponents during the run.
The Deacons have shut out five opponents this season, including ACC foes Florida State and Louisville.
Scouting the Wolfpack >>
NC State has hit a skid of late, dropping each of its last five matches dating back to March 6 against North Carolina.
Though dropping each of the last five contests, four of those contests came in 4-3 defeats. The only loss that was not by the final score of 4-3 was a 7-0 loss at home to Virginia on March 7.
Last time out, NC State fell 4-3 to Virginia Tech in Raleigh. After dropping the doubles point and the first singles match, the Wolfpack reeled off three-straight wins to jump out to a 3-2 lead on the Hokies. Virginia Tech took the final two singles matches down the stretch in three-set thrillers to clinch the win.
Looking Ahead >>
Continuing its longest roadtrip of the season, Wake Forest will travel south to Atlanta on Friday, April 3, for a 5 p.m. match against Georgia Tech. Two days later the Demon Deacons will close the roadtrip with a 1 p.m. contest against Clemson in South Carolina.
