
Wake Forest Duo Earn All-Academic Team Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Kimmy Guerin and Luisa Fernandez were each selected to the 2015 All-ACC Academic Women's Tennis Team, the conference announced Wednesday morning.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
Guerin, a sophomore English major, notched a team-best 23 singles victories as she entered the national rankings. She tallied three wins over ranked foes and went 15-10 playing at the top singles position.
Fernandez, a sophomore Health & Exercise Science major, picked up 12 singles victories and posted a winning record playing at the No. 4 singles position, and also earned a 5-3 record when playing at top doubles.
The Wake Forest duo helped the Demon Deacons to a winning record, with the 14 victories being the most since 2007.
