Four Deacons Picked on ACC All-Academic Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest quartet of Kevin Conway, Parker Dunshee, Stuart Fairchild and Nate Mondou was named to the ACC All-Academic Team, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Dunshee and Mondou each earned the honor for the second consecutive season.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
Conway, a junior Finance major, emerged as a regular contributor in 2015 as he played in 35 games with 23 starts. He hit .269 with an on-base percentage above .400, recording a trio of three-hit games.
Dunshee, a sophomore Finance major, led the pitching staff with a 2.89 ERA and four saves to go along with a 5-3 record. He struck out 74 batters in 71.2 innings and was named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District Team.
Fairchild, a freshman, was named a Freshman All-American by the NCBWA, Louisville Slugger and Baseball America. He started 51 games in 2015, boasting a .349 average, five homers and 41 RBIs, and he was also perfect in 123 chances defensively.
Mondou, a sophomore Business & Enterprise Management major, was named a Louisville Slugger Third Team All-American and was a Dick Howser Trophy semifinalist. He was also a CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District selection, and hit .338 with 10 longballs and 57 RBIs.
With four selections, Wake Forest trailed just Notre Dame (seven), Miami (six), Florida State (six) and Duke (five) in the ACC.
