Chubb, Kinal earn preseason All-ACC honors

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - A pair of Wake Forest seniors have been named to the Preseason All-ACC football team released today. Linebacker Brandon Chubb and punter Alexander Kinal were each named to the team.

Chubb, a 6-1, 245-pound redshirt senior from Marietta, Ga. (Hillgrove) is a two-year starter for the Deacons who will begin his second year as a co-captain. Chubb collected a career-high 109 tackles as a junior and also led the club with six quarterback hurries. He opened the 2014 campaign with 18 tackles at Louisiana-Monroe and ended it with 19 stops at Duke. Chubb was an honorable mention All-ACC pick last year.

Kinal, a 6-4, 205 pound redshirt senior from Adelaide, South. Australia, is already Wake Forest's career leader with 262 punts and 10,838 yards. A co-captain this season, Kinal owns a 41.37 career punting average. He was a second team All-ACC selection in 2014.

Wake Forest opens the 2015 season against Elon at BB&T Field on Thursday, Sept. 3.
