
Serigne Earns Spot on Mackey Award Watch List

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest redshirt sophomore tight end Cam Serigne has been named to the John Mackey Award preseason watch list. The award, named for the former Baltimore Colts tight end, goes to the top tight end in the country.
As a redshirt freshman in 2014, Serigne led the Deacons in receiving with 54 receptions for 531 yards and five touchdowns. He finished third in the nation in receptions among all tight ends and led all freshmen tight ends in receptions and receiving yards.
Serigne, a 6-3, 245-pound redshirt sophomore from Ashburn, Va. (Briar Woods) set Wake Forest's school record for receptions in a season by a tight end. He was an honorable mention All-ACC selection in 2014 while earning second team Freshman All-America honors. Serigne capped off his season with selection to the ACC All-Academic team.
He was one of six ACC tight ends to be named to the watch list.
