WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Devin Gaulden, a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin, will join the Wake Forest football team in time for the start of preseason camp on Thursday. Head coach Dave Clawson made the announcement today.

A 5-10, 190-pound defensive back, Gaulden played in all 14 games for the Badgers in 2014 and earned five starts. A native of Miramar, Fla. and a graduate of the Univesity School, Gaulden was recruited by Wake Forest in 2010 before choosing Wisconsin.

He is expected to provide experience in Wake Forest's secondary as the Demon Deacons look to replace Kevin Johnson, Merrill Noel and Anthony Wooding, Jr. Johnson was a first round pick of the Houston Texans in the NFL Draft and Noel is currently in his second stint with the Buffalo Bills.
