The Match-Up
• Wake Forest and Syracuse square off inside the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 12:30 p.m. in the first ACC game of the 2015 season.

Wake Forest Storylines
• The Demon Deacons started Year Two of the Dave Clawson era with a bang, defeating Elon 41-3 in the season-opener on Sept. 3.
• Wake Forest racked up 591 total yards of offense. That mark is tied for the third-highest in program history, and is the most since 1975.
• Quarterback John Wolford accounted for four touchdowns - three through the air and one on the ground. He finished 20-of-27 passing for 323 yards and ran for a 70-yard touchdown.
• Defensively, Wake Forest limited Elon to 151 total yards of offense and just six first downs. The Deacs also matched the program record for time of possession, keeping the ball for 38:52.
• Freshmen and sophomores accounted for all 41 of Wake Forest's points. A total of 506 of the 591 yards were compiled by freshmen or sophomores.
• Wake Forest debuted its new uniforms, featuring a black jersey and gold sleeves, paired with gold pants.
The Opposition & Series History
• Wake Forest and Syracuse kick off the ACC slate, with the Orange leading the all-time series by a 3-1 margin.
• The Orange have won three straight in the series, including victories at the Carrier Dome in 2011 and 2013, and at BB&T Field in 2014.
• Syracuse is a year ahead of the Demon Deacons in the rebuilding phase. Scott Shafer enters his third season at the helm of Syracuse, holding an 11-15 record. Dave Clawson is in year two at Wake Forest, with a mark of 4-9.

• Wake Forest returns to the Empire State for the second consecutive weekend, traveling to Army West Point on Sept. 19 for a noon game on the CBS Sports Network. • The Demon Deacons have defeated the Black Knights in each of the last three seasons, including a 24-21 victory at BB&T Field a season ago.
