The Match-Up
• Wake Forest returns to nonconference action, traveling to the Empire State for the second consecutive weekend to take on Army West Point on Sept. 19 at noon.

Wake Forest Storylines
• The Demon Deacon offense continued its significant step forward in a loss to Syracuse, while the defense continues its strong play.
• Wake Forest is one of just six programs nationally to rank in the top 25 in both total offense and total defense, joined by TCU, Arkansas, Memphis and ACC foes Georgia Tech and Duke.
• Quarterback John Wolford ranks eighth in the nation in passing yards (696), total offense per game (369.0), and points responsible for (36), and is 12th with 25.0 completions per game.
• Wake Forest has the best third-down defense in the nation. The Deacs have allowed just two conversions on 22 attempts, a 9.1 percent conversion rate. The next-closest is Duke at 10.7 percent.
• The Demon Deacons' average time of possession of 36:33 ranks fourth in the nation, behind only NC State, Rice and SMU.
• Wake Forest's 2015 opponents have a combined record of 18-6 through two weeks of play.
The Opposition & Series History
• Wake Forest and Army West Point meet for the fourth consecutive season. The Demon Deacons have won eight straight games in the all-time series, with the Black Knights' last win coming in 1989. The Deacs lead the all-time series, 10-4.
• The Deacs have claimed the last two contests in West Point, by scores of 25-10 in 2013 and 34-15 in 1999.
• As head coaches of their respective programs, Dave Clawson and Jeff Monken are each in their second seasons with 4-10 overall records. Each also graduated college in 1989.
On Deck
• Wake Forest returns home for two straight games at BB&T Field, beginning with a Sept. 26 contest against Indiana at 12:30 p.m. in the Demon Deacons' Homecoming game.
• That contest will mark the first-ever meeting between the Deacs and Hoosiers on the gridiron.
