Wake Forest Continues ACC Play at Home
Wake Forest is in the middle of a six-match homestand that began Oct. 7 with Virginia Tech and will end Oct. 23 with Clemson.
The Demon Deacons are 1-1 during the stay following a 3-0 loss to Virginia Tech and a 3-1 win over Pittsburgh.
Primetime Viewing
Regional Sports Networks affiliates (RSN), including Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Carolinas, will broadcast the match against Duke on Wednesday. Lyndsay Rowley and Cecile Reynaud will be calling the match.
The match will be available through ACC Network Extra, though it is subject to blackouts.
Series Notes
The Deacs have historically struggled against the Blue Devils, trailing 51-14 in the series history. Wake Forest has not defeated Duke since Nov. 20, 2012.
Duke triumphed over Wake Forest, 3-1, earlier this season. Caroline Rassenfoss set a then career-high in kills with 20 in 56 total attempts to lead the Demon Deacon offense.
Last Time Out
The Deacs split a pair of home matches this past weekend.
Wake Forest suffered its first sweep of the season against a solid Virginia Tech squad on Friday, Oct. 7. The Deacs were held to a .153 attack percentage, recording 20 errors on 38 kills and 118 total attempts. Kylie Long led the offense with 12 kills.
The Demon Deacons then upset Pittsburgh, 3-1, on Sunday, Oct. 9. Kylie Long recorded 20 kills and the team combined for 13.0 total blocks, their second highest total of the season.
Next Up
The Deacs take on Virginia Friday, Oct. 14 at Summit School.
Wake Forest then concludes its homestand with Georgia Tech and Clemson on Oct. 21 and 23. The Georgia Tech match will be shown on ACC Network Extra.
The Demon Deacons then head north to play at Syracuse and Boston College Oct. 28 and 30 at 6:30 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
