Wake Forest Hits the Road for Two ACC Matches
The Demon Deacons head north to take on Syracuse and Boston College.
The Deacs will play Syracuse on Friday, Oct. 28, at 7:00 p.m. in Syracuse, New York.
Wake Forest will then play Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m.
Series Notes
Syracuse leads the all-time series 3-0. The Orange have swept the Deacs in the previous two meetings while winning the first meeting 3-1.
Wake Forest holds the advantage in the series with Boston College. While the Deacs won the last meeting between the two, the Eagles took the victory in the last match up in Massachusetts on Oct. 17, 2014.
Last Time Out
Wake Forest split a pair of five-set matches at home this past weekend.
The Demon Deacons fell to Georgia Tech 3-2 on Friday, Oct. 21 in their annual "Dig Pink" night. Freshman of the Week Caitlyn Della recorded 15 kills and a .375 attack percentage.
The Deacs then defeated Clemson 3-2 on Sunday, Oct. 23, after overcoming a two-set deficit. Hanna Lee recorded 13 kills and no errors for a final mark of .722.
ACC Accolades
Three Demon Deacons have received conference honors this season, the most since 2011.
Most recently, Caitlyn Della was named ACC Freshman of the Week Oct. 17 for her career performance against Virginia. Caroline Rassenfoss was named Freshman of the Week Sept. 26 while Kylie Long was named Co-Player of the Week Oct. 3.
Next Up
Wake Forest returns home to face Notre Dame and Louisville on Nov. 4 and 6. Both of those matches will be held at the Summit School at 7:30 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
