Seraphim Punches Ticket to Main Draw of ITAs

TULSA, Okla. -- Wake Forest redshirt junior won twice on Tuesday to punch his ticket into the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships.
He will join Petros Chrysochos and Skander Mansouri in the main draw, which opens play Thursday. Seraphim and Mansouri will also be competing in the doubles main draw.
In the second round, Seraphim took down Dominic Bechard of Tulsa, 6-1, 2-6, 6-0. He followed that performance with another three-set win, this one over No. 110-ranked Adam Moundir of Old Dominion, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.
Alan Gadjiev and Dennis Uspensky bowed out in the second round of qualifying.
No. 95-ranked Jolan Cailleau of Texas Tech defeated Gadjiev in a back-and-forth affair, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3. After advancing out of pre-qualifying, South Florida's Alberto Barroso-Campos edged Uspensky, 7-6 (6), 0-6, 7-5.
