WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Fores men's and women's cross country teams head to Charlottesville, Va. this Friday (Nov. 11) for the 2016 NCAA Division I Cross Country Southeast Reagional Championships. The University of Virginia serves as the host for the meet, which will take place at the Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Va.
Representatives from 38 women's teams and 36 men's teams will be on hand as teams look to secure their spot in the NCAA Championships. The top-two teams from each regional earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships (18 total), while 13 additional teams will earn at-large bids. Additionally, from the teams not selected to advance to the NCAA Championships, the top four runners at each regional will earn a berth to compete as individuals.
The women's 6k will start at 11 a.m. while the men's 10k will run at noon.
