Wake Forest Set to Play Two ACC Road Matches
• The Demon Deacons will play Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech for the final time this season. Both matches will be on the road.
• The Deacs will play the Pitt Panthers on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. The match can be watched on ACC Network Extra.
• Wake Forest will then play the Virginia Tech Hokies on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m.
Series Notes
• Pitt leads the overall series, 4-1. However, the Demon Deacons defeated the Panthers earlier this season, 3-1. Pitt won the only match ever played between the two at Pitt on Nov. 8, 2013, 3-2.
• Virginia Tech leads the series, 30-12. The Deacs dropped their match against the Hokies earlier this season, 3-1.
Last Time Out
• Wake Forest dropped a pair of home matches this past weekend.
• The Demon Deacons fell to Notre Dame, 3-0, on Friday, Nov. 4. Kylie Long recorded a career-high in digs with 19, surpassing her previous high of 17, which she set against Elon on Sept. 20, 2014.
• The Deacs then fell to Louisville, 3-0, on Sunday, Nov. 6. Long led the Deacs with 13 kills while Bailey Shurbet had 22 assists.
Long Makes History
• Long, a junior, recorded her 1,000th career kill against Georgia Tech on Oct. 21. Only 10 Demon Deacons had hit the 1,000 mark before Long. She has tallied 376 kills this season for a career total of 1,064, which is good for seventh in program history.
Next Up
• Wake Forest finishes up its home season Nov. 18 and 20 against Miami and No. 18 Florida State.
• The Deacs will face the Hurricanes on Friday, Nov. 18 at the LJVM Coliseum. The match is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be Senior Night for Hanna Lee.
• Wake Forest will play its final home match of 2016 against the Seminoles on Sun. Nov. 20. The match will begin at 1 p.m. at the Summit School.
