WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest secured its fifth win of the season Wednesday evening, defeating Coastal Carolina, 86-74, inside the LJVM coliseum.

Four players scored in double figures including sophomore John Collins, who recorded his second-career double-double with 20 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. Both double-doubles for Collins have come this season, and the sophomore has now led the Demon Deacons (5-1) in both scoring and rebounding in three contests this year.

Freshman Brandon Childress came off the bench to net 15 points in his highest-scoring game as a Demon Deacon. Childress was 4-for-4 from the free throw line and improved to a perfect 15-for-15 from the charity stripe to open his collegiate career.

Mitchell Wilbekin added 14 points for his highest scoring game since Nov. 25, 2015, where Wilbekin dropped 14 points against UCLA. Wilbekin was 5-of-5 from the free throw lines as the Demon Deacons were 21-of-24 from the line as a team against Coastal Carolina (2-4).

Bryant Crawford, following his All-Tournament Team performance at the Charleston Classic this past weekend, added 12 points and a team-best five assists for Wake Forest.

The Demon Deacons led by as many as 25 in the first half of Wednesday's game thanks to a 21-0 run before Coastal Carolina climbed back into the contest. The Chanticleers outscored the Deacs 35-14 over the final minutes of the first half and the opening five minutes of the second half to trim the deficit to four at 44-40.

Following Coastal's run, the Demon Deacons scored seven unanswered points to push the lead back to double digits with just over 13 minutes to play and would lead by at least nine for the remainder of the game.

Dinos Mitoglou added 12 rebounds and three blocks for Wake Forest.

Following the Thanksgiving holiday, Wake Forest will travel to Evanston, Ill., to face Northwestern in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Tip-off on Monday, Nov. 28 is set for 9 p.m. (ET) and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
