GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sarah Teegarden was named second team All-ACC, the league office announced on Thursday afternoon.
She becomes the first Demon Deacon to earn an all-conference honor since Aubrey Bledsoe, Riley Ridgik and Katie Stengel did so in 2013.
A two-year team captain, Teegarden has started all 75 games of her career. This year, the holding midfielder has tallied a career-high seven points on three goals and an assist.
She has nine goals and five assists in her career for 23 total points.
In 2016, Teegarden has led the Demon Deacons to a 10-8 overall record. Wake Forest is eligible for the NCAA Tournament, and will learn its postseason fate on Nov. 7.
