WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Sarah Teegarden was recognized by the NSCAA as a second team All-Southeast Region honoree, the organization announced on Wednesday.
She becomes the first Deacon to receive an all-region honor since Aubrey Bledsoe, Riley Ridgik and Katie Stengel did so in 2013.
A two-year team captain, Teegarden started all 75 games of her career. This year, the holding midfielder tallied a career-high seven points on three goals and an assist.
She totaled nine goals and five assists in her career for 23 total points.
In 2016, Teegarden led the Demon Deacons to a 10-8 overall record, and was named a second team All-ACC selection.
