WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A trio of Demon Deacons recently wrapped up competition at postseason bowls. Alexander Kinal participated in the Reese's Senior Bowl, Tylor Harris competed at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and K.J. Brent took part in the inaugural Tropic Bowl.
Kinal recorded a solid showing in the last collegiate football game of the season as he helped the South team to a 27-16 win.
His first punt traveled 48 yards inside the North 20-yard-line for just a four-yard return. His next punt went 36 yards with a two-yard return, again inside the North 20.
He also had a 38-yard-punt to the North 20-yard-line which was returned seven yards, and his final punt traveled 37 yards and pinned the North team at its own 6-yard-line.
Kinal also served as the South's holder, helping Ross Martin convert on a pair of field goals of 40+ yards.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Kinal met with the Houston Texans and the majority of the other NFL teams.
Though he didn't record a statistic, Harris helped the National team claim an 18-17 victory over the American team. A scout covering the game stated that Harris had won most one-on-one drills in practice.
Brent also earned a win in his game, with the American team topping the National Team 38-14 in the Tropic Bowl. Brent had the longest reception of the day, a 42-yard grab, and was second on his squad in receiving yards.
