Deacs Hit the Road for First Time Since February
After a 20-4 start with a 4-1 mark in the ACC, No. 13 Wake Forest will hit the road to take on a pair of conference foes in No. 64 Miami and 20th-ranked Florida State.
The Demon Deacons are slated to take on the Hurricanes on Friday at 1 p.m. They will face the Seminoles on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
The road matches will be the Deacs' first away from Winston-Salem since playing at the ITA National Team Indoors Championships in Charlottesville, Va. from Feb. 12-14.
Last Time Out
Wake Forest wrapped up a 13-match homestand last Sunday with 7-0 wins against Clemson and South Carolina State.
The wins gave the Deacons seven-consecutive shutout victories, a school record.
Ho To 100
Senior Jon Ho's singles win against Clemson was the 100th of his career.
He became the sixth Deacon all-time to reach the milestone. Senior Romain Bogaerts is the next-closest current player to that mark, currently sitting at 96-career victories.
Mansouri Moves Up
Skander Mansouri has had a strong start to the spring, going 12-2 in singles, including 7-2 at No. 1, 4-0 at No. 2 and 5-1 against ranked opponents.
The sophomore has won the ACC Player of the Week two times and now has the highest singles rankings of his career at No. 16.
Paired with Christian Seraphim, Mansouri is also No. 12 in doubles. The duo is 11-5 at the No. 1 position with five wins against ranked tandems.
Also ranked in singles for the Deacons is Petros Chrysochos, who checks in at No. 45 after a 13-2 start. Romain Bogaerts and Maksim Kan have not played together in the spring, but are ranked 47th in doubles, while Chrysochos and Jon Ho are 48th.
Deacs in the Top 10
After a strong start to the season, the Deacons moved into the top 10 of the national rankings for the first time since 2007. Their No. 5 ranking held the weeks of Feb. 17 and Feb. 23 was their highest in program history. They are currently ranked 13th.
Wake Forest began the season with its highest preseason ranking in program history at No. 11 after making its third Sweet 16 appearance a year ago.
Deacs at the Davis Cup
Demon Deacon freshman Petros Chrysochos and sophomore Skander Mansouri both competed for their respective countries at the Davis Cup in mid-March.
Representing Cyprus, Chrysochos went 4-0 in singles to help his country advance from Europe Zone Group III to Europe Zone Group II.
Mansouri dropped his lone match for Tunisia, a five-set doubles contest.

Wake Forest opens the month of April and wraps up a four-match road swing next week when it travels to Virginia Tech and North Carolina.
The Deacs will then celebrate Senior Day against Duke on April 9.
