Williams Named to NFF Hampshire Society

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The National Football Foundation today named Wake Forest linebacker Hunter Williams to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society.

The NFF Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career. A total of 868 players from 275 schools qualified for membership as the society celebrates its 10th year, setting a new record for the number of players honored in the history of the program, which began in 2007.

Williams, a native of Wake Forest, N.C., is a December 2015 graduate of Wake Forest with a degree in finance. A two-year captain and three-year starter, Williams finished his career with 159 career tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and a pair of interceptions. Williams was named to the All-ACC Academic Team in 2014 and 2015 and received CoSIDA Academic All-District honors in both years.
