Black & Golden Globes Set for Saturday Night

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest Athletics is set to host its annual end-of-year awards ceremony – the Black & Golden Globes – on Saturday night at Benton Convention Center to honor athletic excellence and achievements from the 2015-16 seasons.

Modeled after national entertainment award shows, the Black & Golden Globes will be emceed this year by Matt James ('15), a former member of the football team, and will feature a red carpet entrance and multimedia presentations for awards in 14 categories, including Male and Female Athlete of the Year.

Other awards being given out on the night include Team Video of the Year, Athlete Power Couple, Weight Room Junkies and the Best on Social Media, to name a few.

WakeForestSports.com will have a full recap of the evening and winners will be announced on both the website and the department's official Twitter account, @DemonDeacons, as well as the team's individual Twitter pages throughout the program.
