WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest men's tennis head coach Tony Bresky announced the addition of Sean Hill and Vuk Budic for the 2016-17 season on Tuesday.
"I'm excited to add two more great players to our program in Sean and Vuk," said Bresky. "Both guys are incredibly passionate about tennis and want to help bring Wake Forest ACC titles and national championships. I'm looking forward to getting them on campus to begin working with them."
A native of Berkeley, Calif., Hill has been ranked as high as No. 320 by the International Tennis Federation and has reached as high as No. 26 in TennisRecruiting.net's Class of 2016--he is currently ranked 29th. The site also lists Hill as a five-star recruit.
Hill posted a fifth-place finish at the 2015 USTA Boys 16 National Championship in Kalamazoo, Mich. by reaching the round of 16 before going on to win the tournament's back draw.
Born in Champaign, Ill., Budic has lived in Dublin, Ireland throughout high school. He has reached as high as No. 592 in the ITF rankings.
Budic won the William Fry Junior Lawn Tennis Championships of Ireland in 2015, dropping just one set in five matches en route to the title.
Hill and Budic will join Bulgaria-native Alex Lazarov in next year's freshman class.
No. 6-seeded Wake Forest is set to make its second-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament's round of 16 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center this week. The Demon Deacons will take on No. 11 Oklahoma on Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
