2016 ACC Title Season in Review

TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Wake Forest captured its first ACC Tournament title in program history
The Demon Deacons had a final record of 31-6, giving them program records with 31 wins and 10 ACC wins
The victories at No. 2 Oklahoma, at No. 1 North Carolina and versus No. 1 Virginia were the highest-ranked wins in program history
The team made its fourth trip to NCAA Championships and hosted an NCAA Regional for the third time; the Deacons are now 6-0 all-time in NCAA matches in Winston-Salem
In February, the Deacs had a program-high ranking of No. 5; they also had a program-best final ranking of No. 8 after coming in to 2016 with a team-best preseason ranking of No. 11
For the first time ever, Wake Forest competed at ITA National Team Indoor Championships; in Charlottesville, the Deacons reached the quarterfinal and went 2-1 at the tournament, defeating 2015 National Indoors finalists Oklahoma and USC
The senior class of Romain Bogaerts, Jon Ho, Anthony Delcore, Sam Bloom and Brendan Henry was the winningest senior class in history at 90-37

Third Team All-ACC (fourth all-conference honor of career)
Became the seventh Demon Deacon to reach 100-career singles wins with a win over Duke's Josh Levine to clinch the Deacs' Senior Day win
Finished with 103 career singles wins, sixth-most ever at Wake Forest
Beat No. 82 Robert Kelly of North Carolina, 6-7 (4), 6-2, 7-6 (5), to secure Wake Forest's first-ever win over a top-ranked team
In another match at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center, rallied for a 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-6 (5) win over Notre Dame's Alex Lawson to send the Deacs to the ACC semifinals (trailed, 5-2, in the third-set tiebreaker)
Finished ranked 55th in doubles

Clinched the Deacs' ACC semifinal win over Virginia Tech and rallied from down 6-7 (4), 1-4 against the Cavaliers' Luca Corinteli to win 6-7 (4), 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4) and clinch Wake Forest's first-ever conference title (ended Virginia's nine-year championship run)
Led the Deacs with 27 dual-match singles victories and 22 dual-match doubles triumphs
