TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- No. 2-ranked Florida State broke a scoreless tie with three second-half goals in a 3:09 span to beat Wake Forest, 3-0, at the Seminole Soccer Complex on Thursday night.

The Demon Deacons (8-2, 0-2 ACC) limited the Seminoles (8-1, 2-0 ACC) to just five first-half shots, but Florida State broke through in the second half.

At the 59:01 mark, after a shot bounced off the crossbar, Megan Connolly put away the rebound for the game-winner.

Dallas Dorosy finished from 12 yards on a cross from the right side at the 60:46 mark to make the score 2-0.

Kristen McFarland scored off another rebound 82 seconds later as FSU extended the margin to 3-0.

The Seminoles held a 12-6 advantage in shots. Kendall Fischlein, Kahla Seymour and Kate Ravenna put attempts on target, but Cassie Miller saved all three to preserve FSU's fifth-straight shutout. Lindsay Preston made five saves for the Deacs.

Wake Forest is back in action on Sunday, traveling to No. 23 NC State for a 7 p.m. game on ACC Network Extra.
