Wake Forest Continues ACC-Play on the Road
• Wake Forest wraps up its four-game roadtrip this weekend with matches against Louisville and Notre Dame.
• The Demon Deacons play Louisville on Friday, Sept. 30 and then head to Notre Dame for a Sunday matchup. Both games can be viewed on WatchESPN/ACCN Extra
ACC Freshman of the Week
• Caroline Rassenfoss was named ACC Freshman of the Week after a stellar weekend against Duke and Virginia.
• Rassenfoss is the first Demon Deacon to receive ACC honors since Caroline Wolf was Co-Player of the Week in October 2015 and the first Freshman of the Week since Kylie Long in November 2014.
• Rassenfoss recorded a career high 26 kills with a .523 attack percentage in the match against Virginia. Her 199 kills this season lead the squad.
Series Notes
• The Deacs and Cardinals will battle it out for the seventh time in program histories. The Cardinals lead the series, 5-1 and swept the most recent matchup in Oct. 2015.
• Notre Dame and Wake Forest will be meeting for the fifth time. Wake Forest holds a three-game winning streak over the Fighting Irish. The Irish have not defeated the Deacs since Oct. 22, 1982.
Last Time Out
• The Deacs went 1-1 on their last roadtrip to Durham, N.C. and Charlottesville, Va.
• Wake Forest lost its ACC-opener to Duke, 3-1 on Sept. 21. Caroline Rassenfoss recorded 20 of the Deacs' 49 total kills.
• The Deacs then defeated Virginia, 3-1, in Charlottesville. Caroline Rassenfoss recorded a season-high 26 kills with a .523 attack percentage. Both Hanna Lee and Caroline Rassenfoss recorded four blocks during the match.
Next Up
• The Deacs return home for a six-game homestand that begins with Virginia Tech on Oct. 7 and ends with Clemson on Oct. 23.
