WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Jordan Banks and Amy Collins will represent Wake Forest in the women's pentathlon at the Tobacco Road Multis in Chapel Hill, N.C. The competition will begin Thursday, Jan. 19 at 3:30 p.m.

The pentathlon is made up of five events: 60m Hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put, Long Jump and the 800m run.

Collins has competed in multiple pentathlons including a 12th-place finish in the pentathlon at the ACC Indoor Championships last season. This will be Banks' first complete pentathlon.

The Tobacco Road Multis is an unique competition as it gives multi-event athletes the opportunity to compete in the full pentathlon before conference championships in February and gives athletes an opportunity to achieve qualifying scores for the 2017 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The Demon Deacons return to action Saturday, Jan. 21 for the Wake Forest Invitational which will be held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem.
