The Matchups:
- Wake Forest will make its final road trip of the season, beginning with a 7 p.m. match at Syracuse on Friday, Nov. 17.
- Then, the Demon Deacons will take on Boston College in Chestnut Hill on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. in the team's regular season road finale.
- Both matches will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
Last Time Out:
- The Demon Deacons swept Duke in three sets on Wednesday, Nov. 8, which snapped a four-match losing streak.
- The win was Wake Forest's first over Duke since 2012. Caroline Wolf recorded 23 digs, two shy of a program record for most digs in a three-set match.
- In the team's 3-0 loss to Pittsburgh on Nov. 10, Wolf broke the school record for career digs.
Wake Forest Storylines:
- Wake Forest sits at 12-16 (4-12 ACC) on the season. The team needs just one more conference win to match last season's total of five.
- Senior outside hitter Kylie Long delivered her team-leading fifth double-double (18 kills, 25 digs) of the season on Nov. 5 against Notre Dame. Her 25 digs set a new career high.
- Senior libero Caroline Wolf made history on Friday, Nov. 10 against Pitt. In recording six digs, Wolf now has 2,015 for her career, a Wake Forest record for career digs. She is also seventh in the NCAA among active players in career digs.
- The Deacs have been strong defensively in 2017. They are fifth in the ACC in opponent hitting percentage (.199) and allow the third-fewest assists per set in the league (11.00).
Series History:
- Wake Forest is looking for its first victory over Syracuse in series history.
- The Orange defeated the Demon Deacons, 3-1, on Sunday, Oct. 1. - Wake Forest has won 14-of-20 matches all-time against Boston College.
- Earlier this season, the Deacs took down the Eagles, 3-0, on Sept. 29.
Scouting the Opponents:
- The Orange have lost four consecutive ACC matches, all on the road. Syracuse owns a 5-1 home record in ACC play.
- Boston College sits one game behind the Deacs at 3-13 in conference play. The Eagles have also lost four-straight road matches, but forced Miami to five sets on Nov. 9.
Looking Ahead:
- Wake Forest returns home to host its final two matches of the season. On Wednesday, Nov. 22, the team plays North Carolina at 2 p.m. Then, in their final match of the season, the Deacs play NC State on Friday, Nov. 24 at 1:30 p.m.
