The Matchups:
- Wake Forest returns home for three matches over six days, starting with a 3 p.m. contest against Louisville on Friday, Nov. 3.
- Next, the Demon Deacons host Notre Dame on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m.
Last Time Out:
- The Demon Deacons fell, 3-0, at Clemson on Friday, Oct. 27. The Deacs split the final season series with the Tigers after winning, 3-1, at LJVM Coliseum on Nov. 3
- On Sunday, Nov. 5, the Deacs dropped a four-set match at Georgia Tech. Wake Forest split the first two sets, lost the third set, 25-10, and fell in the fourth set, 28-26.
Wake Forest Storylines:
- Wake Forest sits at 11-13 (3-9 ACC) so far this season. The team needs just two more conference wins to match last season's total of five.
- Senior outside hitter Kylie Long had a career match on Oct. 22 against Virginia. Long delivered a career-high 26 kills, including six in the final set, to lead the Deacs past the Cavaliers.
- Senior libero Caroline Wolf continues to move up the Demon Deacon record books. In the team's match against Syracuse on Oct. 1, Wolf moved into second place in program history in career digs. She needs just 67 more to tie the school record.
- The Deacs have been strong defensively in 2017. They are fifth in the ACC in opponents hitting percentage (.199) and allow the third fewest assists per set in the league (10.84).
LJVM Doubleheader:
- The first 150 fans at the volleyball match on Friday at 3 p.m. against Louisville will receive FREE admission to the men's basketball exhibition against Queens College at 7 p.m. Fans must stay through the second set to earn their ticket.
Scouting the Opponents:
- The Cardinals are under the direction of first-year head coach Dani Busboom-Kelly, who has led the team to a 16-6 record in her first year with the Cardinals. Louisville is tied with Pittsburgh and NC State for the best record in the ACC at 10-2.
- The Fighting Irish sit at 6-6 in the ACC, but are coming off back-to-back home losses to Louisville and Pittsburgh over the weekend.
Series History:
- Louisville has taken six of the eight all-time meetings between the teams.
- However, the Demon Deacons split two matches last season, winning, 3-1, in Louisville on Sept. 30, 2016.
- Wake Forest owns an even 3-3 record against the Fighting Irish.
- The Demon Deacons won three consecutive matches against the Irish from 2013-2015, but Notre Dame swept the season series in 2016.
Sunday Meet-and-Greet with the Players:
- After Sunday's match at 1 p.m. against Notre Dame, there will be a meet-and-greet held with members of the team.
Looking Ahead:
- The Demon Deacons remain at home for their third straight home match next week, a 6:30 p.m. contest on Nov. 8 against Duke. Then, the team travels to take on co-conference leader Pittsburgh on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
