The Matchup
• Top-ranked and No. 1 seeded Wake Forest continues NCAA Championship play with a third-round matchup against Butler, an at-large qualifier out of the Big East. The Demon Deacons and Bulldogs square off Sunday at 5 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.

Ticket Info
• Due to NCAA requirements, tickets to Sunday's game will be $8 for general admission, $5 for seniors and children, and $3 for college students with valid ID.
• Tickets are required on the Walt Chyzowych Alumni Hill, and no dogs or outside food or drink will be allowed.

Last Time Out
• Wake Forest snuck past Columbia with a 1-0 win in the NCAA second round. The Demon Deacons took advantage of an 89th-minute penalty kick from Jon Bakero en route to the victory.
• The victory improved Wake Forest's record to 7-2 in the NCAA Tournament under head coach Bobby Muuss.
• Wake Forest controlled the flow of the game, finishing with a 9-6 advantage in shots and 6-0 lead in corner kicks.

Wake Forest Storylines
• A total of eight Deacs were recognized in the ACC postseason awards. Jon Bakero (Offensive Player of the Year), Kevin Politz (Defensive Player of the Year) and Bobby Muuss (Coach of the Year) led the way.
• Wake Forest wrapped up its second undefeated ACC schedule in three years under head coach Bobby Muuss. The Deacs went 6-0-2 in 2015 and 7-0-1 in 2017. Wake Forest became the first team to finish the ACC regular season and tournament undefeated en route ot the ACC Championship since Duke in 1999.
• The Demon Deacons have one of the most prolific offenses in the nation this season. Wake Forest ranks atop the country with 56 goals, 176 points and 64 assists.
• Six Demon Deacons have totaled at least 10 points: Jon Bakero (44 pts - 15g, 14a), Ema Twumsai (25 pts - 10g, 5a), Luis Argudo (22 pts - 8g, 6a), Omir Fernandez (17 pts - 6g, 5a), Brandon Servania (15 pts - 2g, 11a) and Steven Echevarria (11 pts - 4g, 3a). Bakero leads the nation in points and is in the top three in goals and assists.

Opponent And Series History
• Wake Forest and Butler are meeting for the first time in program history.
• Butler reached the third round by defeating Lipscomb in the first round, 2-0, and No. 22 VCU in the second round, 3-2. VCU took a 1-0 lead, but the Bulldogs scored three times in less than five minutes to take command of the game.
• Brandon Guhl was named the Big East Co-Offensive Player of the Year, totaling 30 points on 13 goals and four assists. Eric Dick was named the league's Goalkeeper of the Year, finishing with a 0.91 goals-against average, .827 save percentage and nine shutouts in 19 starts. Led by head coach Paul Snape, Butler also received Coaching Staff of the Year honors.

• The winner Sunday plays the winner of No. 9 seed Stanford vs. Coastal Carolina. If the Deacs win, they'll host the NCAA quarterfinal at Spry Stadium next weekend.
