WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's and women's track and field teams will compete at the JDL Fast Track for the third time this season in the Camel City Invitational this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 3 & 4.
Twenty-two student-athletes are expected to represent Wake Forest in 16 events during the two-day competition.
The Deacs will compete among over 30 teams including fellow ACC teams Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Duke.
Robert Heppenstall and Simon Holden will represent Wake Forest in the elite men's Camel City Mile. Kathryn Lazarchick is slated to compete in the elite women's Camel City Mile after placing third at the Razorback Invitational last weekend.
The Deacs brought home five event titles and 21 top-10 finishes from the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational in Lynchburg, Va. last weekend. Alva Hicks took first in the women's weight throw while Charlie Ionata claimed the men's title. Alexandria Florent also won her second event title of the season in the high jump. Ellie Abrahamson won her first mile event title of the season while Hunter Roberts took first in the women's 60m Hurdles finals.
