SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Three more Demon Deacons earned All-ACC honors in the final day of competition at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The men's and women's track and field programs combined for eight All-ACC Honors.

Robert Heppenstall earned First Team All-ACC honors with his third-place finish in the men's 800m. Kathryn Lazarchick earned Second Team All-ACC honors with a fourth-place finish in the Mile while Ellie Abrahamson garnered Second Team honors after placing fourth in the 3,000m.

Heppenstall finished third in the men's 800m finals with a personal best time of 1:46.71. He replaced his previous best of 1:47.35 set at this competition last season. The finish put him on the podium and gave him First Team All-ACC honors. Simon Holden finished seventh in the event with a time of 1:50.51.

Lazarchick finished fourth in the 1 Mile Run with a personal best time of 4:41.86, nearly two seconds faster than her previous best. She earned Second Team All-ACC honors with the finish. Abrahamson smashed her personal best time in the 3,000m.

Abrahamson finished fourth in the event with a time of 9:22.18 and her previous best time was 9:31.88, set at the Liberty Elite Invitational earlier this season. She earned Second Team All-ACC honors. Also in the event, Lazarchick finished 18th with a time of 9:43.90 while Beatrice Boylan took 25th. Boylan finished with a time of 9:58.75, over nine seconds faster than her previous best.

Mitchell Dyer took 22nd in the men's 3,000m with a time of 8:23.62, his best time in the event by over 20 seconds. His previous best was 8:46.94 set at the Liberty Elite Invitational.

Jessica Molina and Casidy Howard started off the final day of competition for the Demon Deacons with the Shot Put. Both Molina and Howard had season-best marks as Molina took 11th with a 14.18m (46' 6.25") throw and Howard took 14th at 13.00m (42' 8").

Also in the Shot Put, Max Adams finished 11th on the men's side with a best mark of 15.58m (51' 1.5").

The women's team finished 11th in the competition with 24 points, nearly triple the amount the team scored last season. The men finished 14th with 11 points.

"I am proud of how the team had a lot of fight over the last few days," said head coach John Hayes. "It started well with Charlie Ionata, Amy Collins and Alva Hicks on the first night. Today we had very strong races from Kat, Ellie and Rob. We had so many personal bests this weekend but we do not yet have the strength in numbers. It may not reflect progress in the final numbers but I am extremely confident that it will not look like this for long."

The NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships are set for March 9-11 in College Station, Texas. The Demon Deacons open their outdoor season at the High Point Invitational held March 17-18.
