Demon Deacons Ready for Outdoor Season

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's and women's track teams will open the 2017 outdoor season March 16-18 at the Bill Webb Combined Events and Bob Davidson Spring Kick Off meets at High Point University.
The Bill Webb Combined Events Meet will take place Thursday and Friday while the Bob Davidson Spring Kick Off is Friday and Saturday. Both meets will be held at the Vert Stadium at High Point University.
Fifty-Seven Demon Deacons are set to compete in the three-day event, 24 on the men's side and 19 on the women's. Amy Collins and Jordan Banks will kick off the competition Thursday, March 16 at 3 p.m. with the first four events of the heptathlon. The remainder of the multi events will begin again on Friday at 10:15 a.m.
The Bob Davidson Spring Kick Off will begin Friday, March 17 at 1 p.m. with the women's 100m hurdles. Events run through 7 p.m. on Friday and pick back up again at 9 a.m. on Saturday with the men's hammer throw.
Seventeen schools will join the Demon Deacons at the competition including Appalachian State, Elon and UNC Greensboro.
After this weekend's competition, the Demon Deacons will compete in the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. March 24-25.
