
Demon Deacons Set for Raleigh Relays

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest men's and women's track programs will head to NC State for the adidas Raleigh Relays held March 24-25 at the Paul Derr Track in Raleigh, N.C.
Forty-one Demon Deacons, including 22 on the women's side and 19 on the men's side, are slated to compete in 25 events over the course of the two-day competition.
The meet kicks off Friday at 9:45 a.m. with the women's 5000m Run. The meet will tentatively run until 10 p.m. on Friday and start back up with the women's Hammer Throw on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Nearly 100 schools will be represented this weekend including ACC schools Duke, Georgia Tech, NC State, North Carolina and Notre Dame and local schools Appalachian State, Elon, Davidson, High Point, UNC Charlotte and UNC Greensboro.
After this weekend, the Deacs will split up for a pair of weekend meets in the Pepsi Florida Relays and the High Point VertKlasse Meeting. The Florida Relays will be held March 30 - April 1 in Gainesville, Fla. while the VertKlasse Meeting will be March 31 - April 1 in High Point, N.C.
