LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Wake Forest men's and women's track and field programs wrapped up competition at the NCAA East Preliminary Saturday afternoon.
Kathryn Lazarchick, Ellie Abrahamson and Max Adams competed for the Demon Deacons.
Adams kicked off the day for the Deacs in the men's discus. He threw a season-best mark of 55.03m (180' 6"), replacing his previous best of 54.05m (177' 4") to finish third in his flight and 19th overall.
After a lengthy weather delay, Lazarchick finished 10th in her heat in 20th overall in the women's 1500m. Lazarchick's time of 4:22.74 was just two seconds shy of her personal best of 4:20.83.

Up next, Abrahamson and Robert Heppenstall will trek to Eugene, Oregon to compete in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Competition at Hayward Field will be held June 7-10.
