The Matchups:
- Wake Forest opens its 2018 season on Saturday with a doubleheader at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.
- The team starts the day with a 10 a.m. match against Furman before concluding with a 2:30 contest against College of Charleston.
Recapping 2017:
- Wake Forest finished 2017 with an 18-11 overall record, including a 7-7 mark in the ACC.
- The Demon Deacons advanced to the NCAA Championships for the second straight season where they fell to Texas, 4-3, in the opening round.

- Wake Forest enters the season with two players ranked inside the ITA's top 100.
- Freshman Eliza Omirou comes in at No. 70.
- Emma Davis enters 2018 ranked No. 72 in the ITA's singles rankings.
- Omirou and Anna Ulyashchenko are ranked No. 42 in the ITA's doubles rankings, becoming the highest ranked Wake Forest doubles pairing since 2012, when Kayla Duncan and Kathryn Talbert ended the fall at No. 20.
The Opponents:
- Furman opened its 2018 season with a 6-1 win over Coastal Carolina on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
- College of Charleston has yet to compete in any matches in 2018, but finished 2017 with an 18-9 overall record.
- Last season, the Deacs defeated the Cougars, 7-0, on Jan. 15 in the season opener.
