Demon Deacons Compete at Winthrop/Adidas Invitational

All six athletes post top-10 finishes while competing as individuals

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Wake Forest cross country teams had six individuals compete on Friday at the Winthrop/Adidas Invitational at Winthrop Farm in Rock Hill, S.C. All six runners, two men and four women, posted top-10 finishes at the meet.
In the men's 8K race, the two Demon Deacons finished in the top five. Myers McKinney was fourth, crossing in 26:19.3. Ben Mitchell followed in fifth place in 26:51.0.
In the women's 5K race, Zoe Clay led the Demon Deacons with a fourth-place finish, crossing in time of 19:33.6. Joining her in the top 10 were sixth-place Kathryn Kenwood, seventh-place Kaitlin Derry and ninth-place Kristen Haynes.
The Demon Deacons will return to action with the Pre-National Invitational on October 13 in Madison, Wis.
