Wake Forest Head Coach Danny Manning
Opening Statement…
"This is definitely not the way we wanted to send our seniors out. We thought we did some good things throughout the course of the ball game. We led for 31 minutes and Notre Dame lead for two minutes, but those two minutes were the most important because they led it down the stretch to win the ball game. It was a disappointing loss, and I thought we had some moments where we could have seized the moment but didn't make enough plays down the stretch when Notre Dame did."

On the final inbound play…
"We crossed off the top and were going to set a pin down, but they switched it and had a big on the ball and thought we might be able to throw it over the top to Olivier Sarr but Brandon Childress couldn't see him, so we tried to bounce it off the guy guarding him. He was able to get a hand on it and catch it. Ideally, we would have wanted to play in an open court, and if we couldn't get a shot in the open court then we could call a timeout at least to get it to the top of the key area."

On Mitchell Wilbekin's performance...
"We're certainly going to miss Mitch. Mitch has been here the four years that we've been here and came here with the vision of helping us build and add to the Wake Forest basketball tradition. He's going to leave here as one of the best three-point shooters in the history of Wake Forest basketball. He is a terrific young man, and we're certainly going to miss him. Tonight, he made some big shots for us to close out the first half and in the second half knocked down some pretty big threes as well."

Notre Dame Head Coach Mike Brey
Opening Statement…
"I am really proud of our group. I mean that's just a great win for us. I thought our defense in the last few minutes really kicked in. Wake Forest is a really gifted offensive team, and it was hard for us to guard them. We tried a little bit of everything, but in those last six minutes, we really defended and then we had some guys make some really big shots. Obviously Matt Ferrell is a senior, so we want him taking that, and we're not surprised that he knocked it down."

On the game winning shot
"We didn't want to go until seven on the shot clock and we screened Matty into a ball screen. As he was dragging it, I could see it in his eyes, like, "I'm taking this one." We did execute very well there. Again, we were so active defensively."

On finishing a tough win on the road...
"It's kind of who this group has been all year. Obviously, we have been dealt a crazy hand on the injury front, but we've never used it as an excuse. Other guys have come in and battled and played. I think it's the culture of the program that has a lot of character. Certainly, our senior class, Martinas Geben and Matty, set an unbelievable tone for us tonight."
