WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 10 Wake Forest women's tennis team rolled to a pair of victories on Sunday, taking down Winthrop, 7-0, in the morning before dispatching Liberty, 6-1 in the afternoon.

With the wins, the Demon Deacons (12-4) now own a four-match win streak and are 6-0 at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex this season.

Match 1 - Winthrop
The Deacs prevailed despite a tough challenge from the Eagles (8-3) in doubles. After Mary Caroline Meredith and Anna Ulyashchenko rolled to a 6-0 win at No. 3, Winthrop answered with a 6-3 win at No. 1.

The deciding match at No. 2 was tightly contested, but Alexis Franco and Eliza Omirou earned a key break with the set tied at five to take a 6-5 advantage, where they held serve to take the doubles point for Wake Forest.

Chandler Carter helped carry the momentum into singles play, opening with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 3. Minutes later, Ulyashchenko put the Demon Deacons within one of clinching the match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 4.

The Deacs clinched the match as Meredith prevailed, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5.

Wake Forest took the final three matches to complete the sweep, with Davis earning a straight-set victory over No. 23 Lauren Proctor. Omirou rallied from down a set to take her match in a third-set tiebreaker, where she won, 10-7.

Match 2 - Liberty
The Demon Deacons took control of two doubles matches early and easily took the doubles point. After Carter and Davis did not drop a game at No. 1, Ulyashchenko and Meredith cruised to a 6-2 win at No. 3 to clinch the point.

The Deacs continued their strong play in singles action, winning three matches in convincing fashion to clinch their fourth-straight win. First, Davis raced to a 6-0, 6-2 win followed by Omirou taking her match, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2. Ulyashchenko provided the clincher with a 6-0, 6-2 win of her own at No. 4.

With the match in hand, Meredith added a straight-set victory at No. 5. The Flames (6-6) did add a win at No. 6 before Carter rallied from down in the second set to win, 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) and give the Deacs the 6-1 final.
