Deacs Set for Raleigh Relays

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest men's and women's track and field team will compete this weekend at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by NC State.
Seventeen women and 15 men will be competing in the two-day meet, held at the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility in Raleigh.
The meet begins for the Deacons Friday at 9:40 a.m. with the women's 5000m. Competition runs through 10:30 p.m. on Friday before starting back up at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday.
ACC Network Extra will stream two segments of the competition, running from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday and 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Nearly 100 schools will be represented in this year's Raleigh Relays, including fellow ACC schools Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Louisville, NC State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Pitt, Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
The Deacon men will see competition from four teams in the top 25 in Virginia Tech, Auburn, Virginia and Kentucky while the women will face Florida State, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame.
After this weekend, the Demon Deacons will compete in High Point's VertKlasse Meeting April 6-7.
