LOS CABOS, Mexico – The Wake Forest men's golf team opened play Sunday at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate. The Demon Deacons shot 25-over during the first round at Los Cabos Querencia to end the first day in 15th place.
The Demon Deacons were led by Lee Detmer, who shot even par 71 to finish the first round T-15th on the individual leaderboard. Paul McBride and Eric Bae each shot 79 and Marco Steyn had an 80 to round out the scorers for Wake Forest.
The tournament continues Monday and concludes Tuesday at Los Cabos Querencia.
