Deacs Finish 15th at Querencia Cabo Collegiate

LOS CABOS, Mexico – The Wake Forest men's golf team concluded play Tuesday at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate. The Demon Deacons shot 11-over during the final round at Los Cabos Querencia to finish in 15th place at 51-over.
Lee Detmer led the Demon Deacons on the day and in the tournament, shooting a 1-over 72 on Tuesday to finish T-33rd at 5-over. Paul McBride also had a final round 72, finishing at 10-over.
Brandon Gillis shot his best round as a collegian with a final round 73. He finished his first collegiate tournament at 22-over. Eric Bae shot a final round 78 and Marco Steyn had a final round 83 to each finish at 24-over.
Wake Forest returns to action March 18-20 with the Valspar Collegiate in Palm City, Fla., where the Demon Deacons are the reigning champions.
