Deacs Set for ACC Tennis Championship
• The No. 1 Wake Forest men's tennis team begins its postseason run on Friday, May 27, as the Demon Deacons head to Cary, N.C. for the 2018 ACC Men's Tennis Championship.
• The Demon Deacons, who earned the No. 1 seed in the tournament by virtue of their 4-3 win over North Carolina on March 28, received a pair of byes and will begin play in the quarterfinals against either eighth-seeded Louisville or ninth-seeded Virginia.
Last Time Out
• The Demon Deacons wrapped up their second straight ACC regular season title with victories over Boston College and No. 25 NC State last weekend. Wake Forest finished the season 11-1 in ACC play, tied with North Carolina for first in the league.
• On Friday, April 20, Skander Mansouri became the program's winningest player, claiming his 222nd and 223rd career matches in a 7-0 sweep of Boston College.
• Mansouri then clinched the ACC regular season title for the Deacs on Sunday, April 22, winning a pair of tiebreakers at No. 3 singles to give the Deacs their fourth point in a 4-3 victory over the Wolfpack.
Deacs In The Rankings
• The Demon Deacons, after being ranked No. 1 to begin a season for the first time in program history, remain the top team in the weekly ITA rankings for the 16th consecutive week.
• Individually, four singles players and six doubles teams are ranked in the latest ITA rankings. The singles rankings are highlighted by Petros Chrysochos (No. 4) and Borna Gojo (No. 6), while the Chrysochos and Skander Mansouri team up to form the second-ranked doubles team in the country.
Scouting the Field
• All 13 ACC men's tennis teams will be in Cary, vying for the ACC Championship. Nine of the 13 teams are ranked in the latest ITA rankings, including three in the top 11.
• Wake Forest is the No. 1 seed in the tournament, followed by No. 2 North Carolina, No. 3 Florida State and No. 4 Notre Dame.

• The NCAA Men's Tennis Championship bracket will be announced on Tuesday, May 1, while the singles and doubles championship brackets will be revealed on Wednesday, May 2.
